New Ford Shelby GT Will Break 200 MPH

Reader, are you a fan of the Ford Mustang, or, more specifically, the 2012 Ford Shelby GT500? We have good news for you! Ford recently announced that the 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang will have the most powerful production V-8 engine in the world. Filled with 650 horsepower (100 more than the 2012 version), and capable of reaching 200 mph (while staying street- legal), the new Mustang will be quite an amazing machine.
The new Ford will be accessible to everyone and will be suitable for daily driving or a swing around the race-track. It also gets some fresh styling tweaks to better challenge its archrival, the Chevy Camaro. Many new Ford Mustang vehicles, including this one, were unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November, so we can tell you that the new Shelby will appear in showrooms summer 2012, slightly later than the other new Mustangs. A price hasn't been set yet, but the current Shelby (standard version) hits slightly below the $50k mark.
The new Shelby was created by Ford's own special vehicles team and will boast several re-designed features, an added manual transmission mode, and enough fuel efficiency to avoid a governmental gas tax. Ford has also focused on safety in the speedy vehicle.
