2012 Hyundai Elantra Chosen as 'Car of the Year' at 2012 Detroit Auto Show

Great news, Hyundai drivers! The 2012 Hyundai Elantra was named "Car of the Year" at this year's Detroit Auto Show. The new Elantra has earned several awards since its debut, but this could possibly be its most impressive achievement to-date!
The Hyundai Elantra was chosen out of two other finalists, the Volkswagen Passat and the Ford Focus (which had been chosen from a once much larger selection of fifty vehicles) as the overall winner. The vehicles were chosen from a pool of vehicles launched for the North American market last year, and there were fifty jurors (all North American journalists) to help decide the winner. The Elantra had a huge win over the two other finalists, beating them by a sizeable margin. The Hyundai Elantra also dominated the Ford Focus in the AutoBest 2012 awards.
So, what made the new Hyundai Elantra stand out from the crowd? One jury member, Jayne O'Donnel, explains, "The Hyundai Elantra is sporty, yet sensible. Luxurious, yet affordable. Spunky, but safe. The Elantra is a series of paradoxes and every one is another argument for the latest, impressive entry in the Hyundai lineup."1 A similar award, the North American "Truck of the Year" went to the the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.
Have you had the opportunity to view the new Hyundai Elantra? If not, feel free to stop by Spradley Barr Motors Cheyenne, located at 22000 Westland Road Cheyenne, WY 82001, and scope-out the the award-winning vehicle. When you're ready, we'll be happy to let you take the Elantra for a spin.
